عبارت هایی که بعد از اون ها عدد لازم هست! (برای سوالات Completion آیلتس)

آشنایی با عبارت های انگلیسی که باید با عدد همراه شود به ما کمک میکنند در آیلتس در سوالات Gap-fill یا سوالات پر کردنی بدنبال عدد باشیم و اشتباهات پاسخ را با کلمه ندهیم!در کل هم در زبان انگلیسی بعضی عبارت‌ها وقتی میاد، تقریبا همیشه انتظار دارن که بعدش یک عدد یا محدوده عددی بیاد. حالا بیا تا عبارت هایی که بعد از اون ها عدد لازم هست رو برات بگم. باید حواست باشه که یک تعدادی مثل Approximately همیشه و 100% با عدد همراه میشن و بقیه معمولا اما نه 100%. دونستن همه این ها الزامی هست و خیلی به ما در حدس زدن پاسخ های ریدینگ و لیسنینگ آیلتس کمک میکنه. بریم ببینیم چیا هستن:

🔹 up to
یعنی “تا سقفِ…” یا “حداکثر…”

You can borrow up to 5 books from the library.

🔹 more than
یعنی “بیش از…”

The city has more than 2 million people.

🔹 less than
یعنی “کمتر از…”

This phone costs less than 200 dollars.

🔹 at least
یعنی “حداقل…”

You need to sleep at least 7 hours a day.

🔹 at most
یعنی “حداکثر…”

The room can hold at most 50 people.

🔹 over (وقتی با عدد بیاد)
یعنی “بیش از…”

She has been teaching for over 10 years.

🔹 under (وقتی با عدد بیاد)
یعنی “کمتر از…”

Children under 12 are not allowed.

🔹 between … and …
یعنی “بین … و …”

The temperature will be between 15 and 20 degrees.

🔹 from … to …
یعنی “از … تا …”

The shop is open from 9 to 5.

🔹 exactly (وقتی برای عدد میاد)
یعنی “دقیقاً …”

The journey takes exactly 2 hours.

🔹 approximately / roughly / around / about
(اینا تخمینی‌ان، ولی باز بعدش باید عدد بیاد)

There were approximately 200 people at the event.

🔹 no more than
یعنی “نه بیشتر از …”

You can spend no more than 50 dollars.

🔹 no less than
یعنی “نه کمتر از …”

The project will take no less than 3 months.

🔹 upwards of
یعنی “حداقل …” یا “بیش از …”

The company employs upwards of 1,000 workers.

🔹 a maximum of / a minimum of

You can register with a maximum of 3 friends.
The course requires a minimum of 2 participants.

🔹 fewer than
یعنی “کمتر از …” (برای معدود)

Fewer than 10 students passed the exam.

🔹 no fewer than
یعنی “نه کمتر از …” (برای تأکید روی زیاد بودن)

There were no fewer than 500 applicants.

اینم نمونه جمله هایی که همین عبارت ها در اون ها استفاده شده و جمله ها رو طوری طراحی کردیم که مناسب رایتینگ و اسپیکینگ آیلتس باشن:

Writing: The survey indicates that families spend at most 25% of their income on leisure activities.
Speaking: I can watch TV for at most an hour; otherwise, I feel it’s a waste of time.

🔹 over

Writing: Over 70% of the participants reported an increase in living costs.
Speaking: I have been studying English for over six years now.

🔹 under

Writing: Children under 14 are not allowed to participate in this program.
Speaking: Tickets are free for children under 12.

🔹 between … and …

Writing: The unemployment rate fluctuated between 5 and 7 percent during the decade.
Speaking: In summer, the temperature in my city is usually between 30 and 40 degrees.

🔹 from … to …

Writing: The number of tourists increased from 1 million to 3 million in just five years.
Speaking: I usually study from 8 to 10 in the evening.

🔹 exactly

Writing: The project was completed in exactly six months, as planned.
Speaking: I can’t remember exactly how many times I’ve been there, but it’s quite a lot.

🔹 approximately / roughly / about

Writing: Approximately 40% of the budget was spent on education.
Speaking: There were about 50 people at my cousin’s wedding.

🔹 no more than

Writing: The task should take no more than 20 minutes to complete.
Speaking: I usually spend no more than $50 when I go shopping.

🔹 no less than

Writing: The government allocated no less than 2 billion dollars to healthcare.
Speaking: I think it takes no less than three years to master a new language.

🔹 upwards of

Writing: The company invested upwards of 5 million dollars in renewable energy projects.
Speaking: There were upwards of 100 guests at the birthday party.

🔹 a maximum of / a minimum of

Writing: The competition allows a maximum of three entries per person.
Speaking: I need a minimum of 7 hours of sleep to feel fresh the next day.

🔹 fewer than

Writing: Fewer than 10% of people reported using newspapers as their main news source.
Speaking: In my class, fewer than 5 students own a car.

🔹 no fewer than

Writing: The university received no fewer than 3,000 applications this year.
Speaking: At the festival, there were no fewer than 500 stalls selling food and clothes.
